Department ID Management Settings
There are two types of users, administrators and end users. The functions that can be used with the printer, Remote UI and corresponding MEAP applications differ according to their respective rights.
Depending on whether department ID management and system manager information are set, the definitions of administrator and user are categorized as shown below.

End User
Department ID Management is used
The system manager information is set
System Manager
Users are authenticated by Dept. ID/PIN
The system manager information is not set
Users are authenticated by Dept. ID/PIN
None
Department ID Management is not used
The system manager information is set
System Manager
User other than system manager
The system manager information is not set
All users
None
If performing user authentication, select the [Enable Department ID Management] under [Department ID Management] using the Remote UI.
